Below please find some of the more frequent questions that are often asked. If you have a question that has not been answered here, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to provide you with answers.
Q. What is the layout of houses?
Answer: Please refer to the Information page of the house you are interested in.
Q. What kind of parking is provided? Where can I park on Thursday afternoons?
Answer: Per Anaheim city regulations NO parking is allowed on public streets. Guests must park in driveways and garages only. Please see the Parking/Max Vehicle Count for each individual house. Vehicles must not encroach into sidewalk. NO parking on public streets. RVs and Trailers of any kind are strictly prohibited.
Q. How far is each home from Disneyland? Can I walk?
Answer: Castle House One and Two are a ½ mile away from the Mickey and Friends Parking Lot Tram. It is VERY walkable and takes about 15 minutes. You can then take a 3 minute tram ride to the Disneyland entry plaza. If you want to walk straight to the entry plaza it takes 20-25 minutes. Castles 6, 9 and 10 are about 3/4 mile away from the Mickey and Friends Parking Lot. It is also very walkable from these houses and takes about 20 minutes to walk to the parking lot. If you stay at any of our other Castles, they are about a mile away and we recommend parking at Disneyland, taking a cab, dropping a group off and having just one person walk, or parking in front of one of our Castle Houses.
Q. How much is it to park at Disneyland?
Answer: It costs $18 per day to park at the Mickey and Friends parking lot (lot closest to all our homes).
Q. Where can I get discounted Disneyland tickets?
Answer: Try checking Costco.com to see if they have discounted tickets. Another site to check is Ares Travel. If you are visiting several parks in southern California you may want to buy the "Southern California Citypass" which includes a 3 day park hopper pass to Disneyland as well as a 1 day admission to Sea World and 1 day admission to Universal Studios. Google "Southern California Citypass” for more information. There is another multi-pass called the "Go Los Angeles Card" which gives access to 38 destinations including Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Legoland and Magic Mountain (does not include Disneyland though). Q. What are my payment options?
Answer: 50% of the total payment amount is due at the time of booking and the balance is due 90 days prior to ckeck-in. Payment options are as follows:
PAY BY CHECK : Unless otherwise specified, all online rates, fees, pricing, quotes, and reservations are based on payment VIA ELECTRONIC CHECK (ECHECK) OR PAPER CHECK in U.S. FUNDS.
PAY BY CREDIT CARD : For the convenience and security of the Guest, we also accept Visa and Mastercard credit card payments for an additional 3% fee of total amount quoted/collected. We will issue an additional payment request for 3% of any payment amount received that NOT PAID by ECHECK OR PAPER CHECK in U.S. funds.
Q. What are your policies?
Answer: Please refer to our Policies page for a complete list of our policies.
Q. What happens if I need to cancel?
Answer: In the event of a cancellation, shortened stay, or change of dates (“Cancellation”) we will attempt to rebook the vacated dates and if rebooked the amount from the new reservation will first be applied to make us whole based on the original reservation, and any remaining amount will be refunded to the Guest. All Cancellations are subject to a $50 Cancellation fee in addition to the booking and cancellation policies. All cancellations and changes must be made in writing (email is ok).
- Cancellations 90 days prior to checkin date are fully refundable minus the Cancellation fee
- Cancellations 89-45 days prior to checkin date are 50% refundable minus the Cancellation fee
- Cancellations 45 days or less prior to checkin date are nonrefundable
Q. Check-in/check-out time? Can I drop off my bags early?
Answer: Check-in is at 4pm. Check-out is at 10am.
Q. How many is the maximum amount of people you allow to stay?
Answer: Please refer to the Information page for the house you are interested in staying at.
Q. What amenities are there? Is there any kind of food?
Answer: Please refer to the Amenities page. All the beds will be made with fresh linens. Bath towels will be provided, but if you would like extra beach or spa towels you should bring those with you. The home will have dish soap, hand soap and shampoo and the kitchen (if applicable) will have basic dishware and pots and pans. If you would like to cook something that requires a specific pan I would recommend bringing that along with you. Spices are not provided, but are not discarded after previous guests, so there may be some spices for your use, but we would recommend bringing them along if you have a meal dependent on them.
Q. What kids stuff do you have? What type of strollers?
Answer: We have 2 Graco brand strollers (one double, one single), 2 high chairs (one booster, one stand alone), 2 baby cribs (also called pack and plays), kids dishes, cups, utensils, toys, games, books, sleeping bags, etc. Please refer to the Amenities page for more information.
Q. Do you have game rooms?
Answer: Several of our houses have game tables, please check each individual home listing to find out more.
Q. What does it cost to heat the pool?
Answer: $25 per night, must be duration of stay.
Q. How hot do we heat the pool?
Answer: 84 degrees.
Q. Can I heat the pool for part of our stay?
Answer: No, it must be the duration of your stay.
Q. Are there any extra fees?
Answer: Each home has a cleaning fee, an accidental damage waiver, a reservation fee, an optional pool heating fee, and an extra persons fee if you have over a certain amount of people in your party (please see individual houses for more information). Anaheim city also requires that we charge a 15% guest tax.
Q. Can extra people come to the house?
Answer: If you have relatives or friends who live in the area or are staying at a hotel, you need to get prior approval from the owners before having them over. Absolutely no guests beyond the house occupancy limits will ever be allowed.
Q. What is the neighborhood like? Is it safe? Do you have a security system?
Answer: We have chosen homes in great neighborhoods. We have become friends with several of the neighborhoods and look forward to our visits with them. We let our children play in front and out back, always supervised of course. We DO ask that you lock all the doors, and turn off all the lights when you leave (except the porch light if you are coming back after dark). We do not have a security system.
Q. Is the backyard private?
Answer: Each house has a private backyard with a pool and hot tub. Castles 11, 12 and 13 share the pool, hot tub and splash pad area but do have private patio areas.
Q. Can I see the fireworks from the house?
Answer: You can see fireworks from the backyard of Castle One, the front yard of Castle Two, Rapunzel’s Tower, and Mickey’s House, the upstairs playroom and front yard of Belle’s Castle, the street in front of Andy's House and Pirate's Lair, the front or back of Mickey's Beach House, La Casa de Mickey and Walt's House, the front yard of Mickey's House, from the upstairs Buzz room of Haunted Mansion and from the upstairs bedrooms of Pirate's Lair.
Q. How far is the closest grocery store? Can I walk there?
Answer: There are several grocery stores that are close. Some of the homes are within walking distance and some require a car to drive to them. Please inquire about each individual house.
Q. What other things are good to do in the area? Closest beach?
Answer: There are LOTS of fun things to do in this area of Southern California. Please refer to the Attractions page of our website.
Q. Can I have a party/reception?
Answer: Absolutely no parties, receptions or events are allowed at any of our homes per Anaheim city regulation.
Q. Can I have things sent to the house?
Answer: We don’t recommend having items sent to the houses unless you are SURE of the delivery date. If you need something sent, please contact us for instructions.
Q. How do I get the key?
Answer: We will e-mail check-in instructions 14 days prior to your stay including driving directions and the code to the lock box or electronic deadbolt.
Q. What happens if something goes wrong while I’m at the house, who can I call?
Answer: Please call our 24 hour maintenance line at 1(844)386-8437 and press extension 3.
Q. What toiletries do I need to bring? Do you provide soap, shampoo, laundry detergent etc?
Answer: Please see the Amenities page for more information. We provide a bar of soap for each bath/shower, toilet paper, paper towels, dishwashing detergent, cleaning sponge, hand soap, If you require more than what is provided, either ask us or buy extras when you are at the store.
Q. Do I have to clean before I leave?
Answer: We ask that you strip the beds that were used, get two loads of laundry started, and start the dishwasher before you check-out. Please put toys and books back and ensure TV remotes are all accounted for and in place. It is in your best interest to do a quick clean-up of the house to ensure you did not leave anything behind.
Q. What if I left something behind?
Answer: Please email or call us immediately upon realizing you left something behind. We cannot always assure the item will still be in the house, but we will do our best to get it back to you ASAP. We will deduct mailing fees from your deposit.
